He noted that as an evidence-based regulator, the Commission seeks high-quality data to inform its decisions.
Angus also discussed the illegal market, stating that increased resources are being directed toward this area. He emphasised the Commission’s responsibility to keep gambling crime-free, particularly regarding anti-money laundering efforts in what he described as an important year for collaboration with the sector. He concluded by noting that Great Britain’s intensely competitive market drives innovation within the gambling industry.
