Germany’s licensed sportsbook trade association DSWV estimates that unregulated operators could capture €300m to €400m in betting turnover during the FIFA World Cup. The DSWV has urged regulators and Bundesländer to address structural deficiencies in the country’s Interstate gambling regime.
