UK Gambling Commission Director of Policy Ian Angus addressed the Institute of Licensing Gambling Conference on 28 April 2026, providing an update on the current gambling landscape. Angus noted that the November Budget has already prompted operational changes among gambling companies, with effects visible on High Streets across the country.
Angus also stated that the Commission is entering the final year of its current Corporate Strategy and is nearing completion of its role in implementing the Gambling Act Review White Paper. He emphasised the importance of the relationship between the Gambling Commission and local authorities, and signalled forthcoming regulatory changes.
