The UK Gambling Commission has appointed Kirsty Caldwell as Interim Chair of its Industry Forum, effective immediately. Caldwell, who has been a Forum member since March 2024, steps into the role as recruitment begins for a permanent successor to Nick Rust, whose term ended in November 2025.
Caldwell founded Betsmart Consulting in 2019 and brings a compliance background to the position. The Industry Forum comprises representatives from Britain’s gambling sector and advises the Commission on industry perspectives regarding regulatory plans, service delivery, and the broader operating environment.
