Spaceman is a crash game rather than a slot, and was Pragmatic Play’s first title in that format when it launched in March 2022. There are no reels, symbols or paylines. Each round begins with a multiplier that climbs continuously while an animated spaceman ascends, and the round ends at an unpredictable point; a player must cash out before that happens or the stake is lost.
Its distinguishing mechanic is the 50% cashout. Rather than the single all-or-nothing exit most crash games offer, a player can lock in half the stake at one multiplier and leave the other half running toward a higher one. The game also carries leaderboards, live chat and a detailed bet history.
Pragmatic Play publishes a return-to-player of 95% and caps the multiplier at 5,000x the stake, at which point any bets still live are cashed out automatically at that level. Volatility is not a figure Pragmatic Play publishes for this title, and it is not directly comparable to a slot’s volatility rating in any case: a crash game has no fixed reel math, and the distribution of outcomes depends on when each player chooses to exit.
