Visit CasinoTonyBet review: a large modern casino available across Canada under Ontario, Alberta and offshore licences
Last checked: July 2026 by the Casino Capybara review team — we re-checked TonyBet’s AGCO/iGaming Ontario registration, its Kahnawake licence for the rest of Canada and its new Alberta AGLC licence, plus banking and payouts, against TonyBet’s live sites and public regulator listings.
TonyBet is a sports-and-casino brand with a multi-regulator Canadian footprint. In Ontario it is AGCO-registered under iGaming Ontario (since 2022); for the rest of Canada it operates under a Kahnawake licence; and it is also licensed in Alberta under the AGLC. This corrects a common misconception that TonyBet is Ontario-only — it is not.
First impressions and platform
TonyBet uses a modern dark layout on desktop and mobile, with quick switching between sports, slots and live dealer. Ontario desktop players run GeoComply location checks; players elsewhere connect through the applicable regional product.
Games
TonyBet’s strength is a large, modern slot catalogue from studios such as Pragmatic Play, Nolimit City, Relax Gaming and Spinomenal, alongside blackjack, roulette and baccarat variants and a live-dealer floor.
Bonuses
Welcome offers are typically deposit-match plus slot spins. Bonus funds carry wagering, game-weighting and expiry; check the live cashier before opting in.
Banking and payouts
CAD banking covers Interac e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard and ecoPayz; the Ontario product is fiat-only. See our Interac casinos guide.
Withdrawals, KYC and payout speed
KYC verification is required before payouts. Interac is fastest, generally within a short review window; cards and bank transfers take a few business days. Compare timelines in our fastest-payout casinos guide.
Safety and licensing
Ontario: AGCO-registered under iGaming Ontario. Rest of Canada: licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. Alberta: licensed under the AGLC regulated market. Only the Ontario and Alberta products carry a provincial player-protection layer.
Who can play: Ontario, Alberta and rest of Canada
Ontario (19+) and Alberta (18+) players use the locally regulated products, with location checks. Players in other provinces (18+/19+) use the offshore Kahnawake-licensed product, without a provincial protection layer. See our Ontario online casinos guide and AGCO explainer.
Support
Support is available 24/7 via live chat and email. It is competent rather than a standout differentiator.
Who it’s for
Good fit: players who want a big modern slot library and are covered wherever they are in Canada. Look elsewhere if: you specifically want AGCO cover but live outside Ontario/Alberta, or you want crypto banking.
Responsible play
Gambling is entertainment, not income, and no review can promise winnings — outcomes are random and the house holds an edge. Legal age is 19+ in Ontario (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). Use the deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion tools provided, and if play stops being fun, free confidential help is available in Ontario via ConnexOntario at 1-866-531-2600 or by texting CONNEX to 247247.

TonyBet Casino licence facts
- Licence in our review
- AGCO / iGaming Ontario (ON) + Kahnawake (rest of CA); AGLC-licensed in AlbertaRecorded in our review, not a guarantee it is current. Confirm it on the regulator’s own register before you rely on it. Evidence level: Regulator named, no number.
- Licensing body (per our review)
- AGCO / iGaming Ontario (Ontario, Canada); Kahnawake Gaming Commission (Kahnawà:ke Mohawk Territory, Quebec); AGLC (Alberta, Canada)
- Restricted countries
- Not verified. Which countries TonyBet Casino itself refuses is set in the casino’s own terms and conditions, and we have not checked those terms for this review. A regulator’s licence does not decide it either, and the law of your own country still applies. Read the casino’s terms and check your own country’s rules before you register.
What the AGCO / iGaming Ontario licence means (full rules and official quotes)
- Where this licence may be offered
- The regulated market is Ontario. Players can open or access an account elsewhere, but cannot place wagers on a regulated account while not physically in Ontario.
- KYC and AML duties
- The Standards require registration data (name, date of birth, address and the information the federal Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act requires) to be validated before an account is created, minimum age 19 (18 only to buy a lottery ticket), and an anti-money-laundering programme aligned with that Act.
- If a complaint is not resolved
- Players complain to the operator first. If the operator does not answer within 90 days or the answer is unsatisfactory, the dispute can go to iGaming Ontario, and then to the Ombudsman of Ontario.
- Player-fund rules (as written)
- The Standards only require player funds to be "clearly and appropriately managed". The text we checked does not state segregation or insolvency protection for funds held by an operator.
- Check the licence yourself
- iGaming Ontario operator directory
What the Kahnawake Gaming Commission licence means (full rules and official quotes)
- Where this licence may be offered
- The Regulations govern gaming "based in or offered from within" Kahnawà:ke, not where players live. Operators themselves must follow the laws of comparable jurisdictions, and the Commission warns that not all listed URLs are accessible in all jurisdictions.
- KYC and AML duties
- Customer due diligence starts when an account is opened; identity must be verified from reliable independent documents, as soon as reasonably practicable after the first deposit, before any payment to the customer and within 30 days. The minimum age is 18, or the higher age set by the player's own country. No amount threshold was found in the texts checked.
- If a complaint is not resolved
- Complaints go to the operator first, then to the Commission ([email protected] or its form), within six months of the issue first arising.
- Player-fund rules (as written)
- The Regulations require the operator's liability for player balances to be separately identifiable and player balances to be covered by liquid funds at all times. The texts we checked do not describe a trust, segregated account or insolvency ring-fence.
- Check the licence yourself
- Kahnawake permit-holder directory
What the AGLC licence means (full rules and official quotes)
- Where this licence may be offered
- This is a licence for players physically in Alberta. Operators must provide games only within Alberta (unless run with another province's government), block play when location cannot be verified, and detect location-evasion tools such as VPNs.
- KYC and AML duties
- At registration the operator must collect the player's full name and date of birth as shown on FINTRAC-compliant government ID, and a physical address. Operators must run an AML/terrorist-financing programme aligned with the federal Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act, report suspicious transactions, and corroborate a player's source of funds at times set by risk assessment. We found no fixed amount thresholds in the Standards.
- If a complaint is not resolved
- Complain to the operator first; a decision can take up to 90 days. AGLC says a complaint to it will not resolve your dispute or get your money back, but it can act on rule breaches with warnings, suspensions or penalties. Account and payment problems should go to the operator or your bank.
- Player-fund rules (as written)
- The Standards say player funds must be "clearly and appropriately managed". They require an AGLC-designated account only for funds in lottery schemes run by AGLC itself. They do not state a segregation or compensation scheme for operator-held funds.
- Check the licence yourself
